Artist Statement  


               As an artist, Linda soon discovered her passion of working with natural media such as
               metal and wood. She believes that working with wood and metal allows her to experiment
               in the process of integrating or fusing these two fine materials together. Very often,
               the wood inspires her as to what shape the metal component should be formed. 
               Linda also strives to create symmetry with the fused wood and metal, focusing on any
               subtleties of the wood such as color, grain, shape.            
                                                   
                                           
                Working with basic hand tools allows Linda to create a design as she progresses, the
               design evolves as she shapes the wood and metal. Linda discovers the subtle nuances
               and patterns in the wood piece and begins to imagine how the jewelry piece will come to
               life. Hand tools allow her to shape the wood and metal to complement each other.
               Her pieces of jewelry are unique from one another since the woods Linda selects vary
               in grain patterns, therefore each piece can be considered one of a kind. Linda now enjoys
